Cos d'Estournel was released today at €84.5 per bottle ex-negociant, up 3.7% on the 2013 ( €81.5) and down 3.9% on the 2012 (€89). It is being offered by merchants at £825 per 12×75, making it the fourth most expensive recent vintage on the market: only the high-scoring 2005, 2009 and 2010 are more expensive. Several back vintages appear to offer better value to the buyer, with the 2006 looking particularly interesting: it has an equal score to the 2014, several years in bottle and is being offered at a lower price.
