Domaine Chevalier 2015

Domaine Chevalier 2015 has been released at €44.4 per bottle ex-negociant, up 32.1% on the 2014 release of €33.6. It is being offered by the trade at £460 per 12×75. This is 39.4% higher than the opening price of the 2014 (£330).

At £460, the 2015 is being pitched between the 2009 and 2010. Its set of strong critic scores – including 95-97 from Neal Martin and 18/20 from Jancis Robinson – seem to explain why.

Martin called it “a fabulous, intellectual wine”; Robinson noted its “lovely appetising low-key classicism”. Buyers, too, might find this popular brand appealing.

Domaine Chevalier Blanc 2015 was also released today. It came out at €66 per bottle ex-negociant, up 10% on the 2014 release of €60. It is being offered by merchants at £685 per 12×75.
