Issan 2015 has been released at €39.6 per bottle ex-negociant, up 32% on the 2014 release price of €30. It is being offered by the trade at £420 per 12×75. This is a 42.4% increase on the first offer price of the 2014 (£295).
Neal Martin said the wine “may well turn out to be one of the greatest Château d’Issan made in the modern era” and rated it 93-95 in-barrel. James Suckling gave the wine 94-95 points and noted its “round” and “powerful tannins”.
The wine is more expensive than the four recent back vintages and buyers looking for value may be tempted by the 2012. It is available at £326 and was rated 95-points by Wine Advocate.
